What led you to choose this career path?
I was led to this career path because I enjoy technical things that are related to Maximo or database. I also enjoy troubleshooting issues, configuring and making customisation.
Which part of your job do you most enjoy?
I love most of my job, but the most enjoyable is configuring/scripting. Especially when I have achieved what the customer requested – this is a very rewarding experience for me as a consultant.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy playing sport, including badminton and swimming. Sporting activities allow me to keep my body healthy. It also gives me a chance to socialise and play with friends and family. Badminton is a good chance for father-daughter bonding. My daughter plays in the badminton CCA, and I was in badminton club in primary school.

If you were not a Maximo consultant, what alternative career path would you have chosen and why?
If I was not a Maximo Consultant, I would most likely chosen to be a database administrator. I like to play with data – my first job database administrator and I was working with a lot of data which I enjoyed.
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
I am proud of Maximo Anywhere application configuration/customization. I enabled a map feature on Maximo anywhere asset data manager. The map was difficult, and many hours were spent trying to configure it. It finally worked, and this made me very proud.
What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
I like to unwind by spending time with my family. We often watch movies together or go outside and play sport or go for walks.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
You would most likely find me going outside to a mall to buy groceries or swimming with family.
What is a quality that you have cultivated in your career or personal life that has been an important part of your personal or professional development?
I easily get along with clients and make them feel comfortable. Since I am an easy-going person, I always connect with clients and talk about things outside Maximo project. Connecting and interacting with clients is a crucial aspect of my job as a consultant.
