Myself, Simon and Craig attended IBM’s Think conference this week in Las Vegas, and it was a bigger event than ever before! I’ve attended Pulse, InterConnect, PWLC and everything in between and Think was up there with the best.
The new campus feel was great, with everything contained on one floor, everyone could get down to business!
The BPD team joined IBM on their Maximo Ecosystem stand for a couple of hours. Thanks to Kim for inviting us! We enjoyed lots of interaction and networking with customers, partners and new friends.
We stayed in the Business and Artificial Intelligence tracks, attending sessions on asset and facilities management. There were some great Maximo/Tririga user presentations as well as the usual roadmap updates.
I was able to catch the Watson IoT Keynote with Kareem Yusef, General Manager of IBM Watson IoT. He spoke about the ‘connectedness’ of everyday things like your watch talking to your car talking to your phone and back to your watch again!
With the familiar things optimized, businesses can start using the same AI powered IoT solutions to better engineer products such as electric cars, manage operations such as visual inspections on a manufacturing line and engage with people like their customers – all through connected things.
Kareem was joined on stage by ABB, Jaguar Land Rover and Harman International who all presented IoT transformation use cases. There are real solutions to real problems occurring today with IBM collaboration!
I even took in a little karaoke… well it is Vegas!
What did you think about at IBM Think? I’d love to hear your stories. Here’s to Think 2019 in San Francisco and I look forward to seeing you sooner at MaximoWorld.
