What is your position at BPD Zenith?

I’m a project manager

What led you to choose this career path?

It was a consequence of past experience. I’ve mainly worked in the IT industry, used to be a Uni lecturer, I have a very strong business background and I worked doing translations and updates of Ms Project and P6 books so becoming an IT Project Manager was the role that added everything up.

Which part of your job do you most enjoy?

Doing project plan updates as I get to meet up with the team.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

The two most favourite activities are scuba diving and going to the gym. The first gives me an incredible sense of freedom and the latter is my happy place where I get to reset and reconnect with myself and push the limits.

If you were not in your current role, what alternative career path would you have chosen and why?

Probably along the lines of sports science. I’m very physical and I’ve always enjoyed learning the proper way of doing things .

What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

This relates to a general achievement of always creating a happy project team that work together and push towards the same goal.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

After going to the gym, I’ll indulge in a movie.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

Having two small children mean that on the weekends I’m either at birthday parties, visiting farms, going to the beach or the playground.

What is a quality that you have cultivated in your career or personal life that has been an important part of your personal or professional development?

Listening to other’s opinions and understanding their position. Usually this shows you a completely different perspective as well as it helps you understand why people make certain decisions. Moreover, when people are heard and understood, they are more likely to hear your own perspective and reaching agreement is a lot easier.
