BPD has invited Todd Munro, Engineering & Asset Management Coordinator at ConnectEast, to attend MaximoWorld 2018 in Orlando this August where BPD is exhibiting at booth 408, and DataSplice is a platinum sponsor.Â
BPD Zenith and ConnectEast have had a relationship across Maximo over the last number of years, starting with a Maximo 7.6 upgrade, followed by a mobility project for EastLink – the largest tollway network in Victoria.
After reviewing some of the mobility options available at the time, DataSplice was selected as the preferred mobility option. The application was easily adaptable to EastLink’s requirements for WO field use, data and GPS capture and real time communication with Maximo via 4G.
All EastLink specific WO requirements have been added to DataSplice including activity codes, crash stats etc. Out of the box DataSplice contains barcode capability, Inventory, WOs, Assets, and SRs all of which are also configurable.
DataSplice also offers a forms solution that has been rolled out to ConnectEast staff to replace the current paper based forms. All data captured can be reported on and any asset data can be transferred to asset meters as required. Forms are also saved as an attachment which can be used for 3rd party auditing purposes.
The mobility project was a huge success with a smooth roll out. The period of time it took from initially speaking to BPD and selecting DataSplice for mobility, to the Go-Live was only 3 months! ConnectEast have been up and running for 14 months now and the solution has exceeded all their expectations.
