1. What is your position at BPD Zenith?
“I have a few roles – I’m a sales consultant, business development manager, account manager and sometimes stand in project manager. I am primarily responsible for MaxiCloud sales and looking after the NZ region. My day-to-day roles include developing new leads, pipelining for leads/new clients, responding to tenders, developing quotes for existing clients for system enhancement, rolling out new capability or modules for Maximo and keeping in contact with clients.”

~ Michael Moulton, Business Development Manager ANZ~
2. What led you to choose this career path? What alternative career path would you have chosen and why?
“I was already in the niche industry of asset management and asset managers being such a small specific based industry, these skills and technical knowledge are highly sought after. If I wasn’t in the asset management industry, I’d probably be an educator of kids in some description. Outside of my working time, I coach kids across a variety of sports, and I enjoy doing that a lot.”

3. Which part of your job do you most enjoy?
“I enjoy meeting new people and working collaboratively with our clients to solve their specific problems and challenges. I also enjoy developing new solutions and challenging the status quo.”
4. What do you like about working at BPD Zenith?
“Being a SME (small to medium enterprise) business, I enjoy the variety of tasks I complete as part of my role in the sales and business development area and some of the autonomy and agility that these tasks bring with them. Achieving success utilising these newly learnt skills can be enormously rewarding.”
5. What are the values that drive you?
“I’m driven by helping more people understand the importance and value of asset management. As noted previously, the Asset Management community is small and at times not well understood by the wider community, helping green field clients better understand the importance of wholistic Asset Management drives a lot of what I do.”
6. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
“When I’m not working, I enjoy playing with my 3 kids, all boys! We do a lot of activities together – mainly cricket, swimming, junior life saving, football – I umpire their football. I also enjoy spending a lot of time outdoors – I don’t have a favourite outdoor activity; I enjoy them all equally.”

7. What’s a work-related accomplishment you’re really proud of?
“Winning our first government contract. It is our largest deployment of MaxiCloud in Aust/NZ region in terms of users and matching a client’s use that’s got high visibility to everyone in terms of the classrooms our kids are in. I am also proud that we are assisting a government organisation with their asset management maturity journey.”
8. What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
“After a busy day, I like to unwind by walking the dog, cooking or spending time in my veggie patch. I cook a lot of dishes – anything with chilli in it is my favourite. I also spend a lot of time in my veggie patch where I grow tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, herbs (a lot of Asian herbs) and passionfruit! I’ve got a big pile of passionfruit sitting in my kitchen right now – I should bring some into work.”

9. What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
