Maximo Version 7.6 expands on previous versions by delivering new capabilities based on client and industry-driven needs. It is by far the most impressive version yet and can manage more aspects of your business than ever before!
Simplified User Experience
One of the biggest investment areas for 7.6 is its modern look and feel. With a top-down layout, cleaner applications, and new fonts and styling, the overall feel is much more visually appealing.
New navigation capabilities include a left hand navigation bar for fewer mouse clicks, access to frequently used functions, and a hover dialog capability to view additional record details.
IBM are also developing role-based ‘Work Centers’ offering responsive applications for a more intuitive user experience.
Built-in Mobility
Yes that’s right, Maximo 7.6 includes free built-in mobile capabilities! With 7.6, you now get access to Maximo Everyplace included so you can use your system in a connected environment on a mobile device for no additional cost.
Continuous Delivery with Feature Packs
IBM is changing the way its Maximo functionality is deployed. Rather than the major product releases we have seen previously, IBM is now packaging up new capabilities which can be taken advantage of more readily.
Great new features released include BIM integration, new budgets app, new inspections app, and a license tracking tool.
Data Driven Insights
7.6 provides improved new insights into your business through Dashboards, Reporting and KPIs. This includes a new KPI template application where end-users can create multiple KPIs and see trending workspaces and history in the KPI Viewer.
Access to Cognos Enterprise V10.2.1 has also been bundled up in 7.6 for free!
Automation Scripts for Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) Introduced
One of the stand out features of Maximo 7.5 was the release of Automation Scripts. 7.6 introduces the ability to launch an Automation Script within the MIF. You can use Automation Scripts to apply custom logic at various points during the processing of object structures, publish channels, enterprise services, and invocation channels. This provides the same functionality as Java classes without having to write, deploy or maintain any code. This means you are not going to lose your class if you upgrade Maximo.
Multitenant Database Option for Separated Instances of Data
7.6 offers true separation of all tenant data and supports multiple, configured tenants within a single instance to reduce hardware, middleware expense and administration.
Integration of mapping and crews capabilities
Support for crew management and service addresses for Locations and Assets so they can be displayed on maps. These extended capabilities increase resource utilization.
Corporate technology standards
Expanded support for new browsers (Google Chrome and Apple Safari) and the latest versions of other supporting middleware, hardware and OS. Maximo 7.6 is available as an on-premises or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering.
End Of Support for Maximo 7.5x, Industry Solutions, Add-ons and for Maximo Archiving 7.1 is happening on April 30, 2018. If you should therefore require advice on upgrades please contact us or view our Maximo Upgrade page.
